1. Pencil Reading - Teaching students HOW to decode unfamiliar words

2. The Vowel Placement Strategy - Teaching students HOW to know what each vowel will say based on where it sits in a word and the letters that surround it.

3. The Give a Goal Strategy - Teaching students HOW to read, NOT how to guess, by telling them what the ERROR they made was, not the word itself.
